Students, after successful completion of the course, will be able to choose the appropriate type of greenhouse (frame material, cover material) depending on the location and the crop, to be able to design the construction, calculate the loads, the strength of the frame and the foundation of the greenhouse, to choose the correct orientation and the optimal spatial plan, know which internal structures are required for each crop, know the nature of solar energy and the factors of the greenhouse environment that can be controlled, calculate the technical and economic aspects of the above systems, select the appropriate automation system and propose the correct organisation and mechanisation of the greenhouse operations.
